FREE EVENT: 2019 Monarch Festival

Help Monarch butterflies journey south! The 2019 Monarch Festival will be held September 7th, 10AM to 4PM at Lake Nokomis.

This annual event is great for all ages! It offers a variety of educational and creative activities including learning about the life-stages of monarchs, tagging and releasing a monarch butterfly, learning about the flowers and habitats that support monarchs in Minnesota, and participating in a Monarch costume parade!

Volunteers are also needed for this event. If you are looking to help out, sign up here! Don’t have time to attend the event or volunteer? You can learn more about Monarchs and help their migration by getting involved with Monarch Joint Venture — click here to learn more about the need for citizen scientists in this organization!
