SASSA in the Classroom Our SASSA in the Classroom program (est. 2015) works with K-12 teachers to create hands-on, inquiry-based modules that are presented in their classrooms by college students. Content is crafted to meet the specific needs of the teachers and students with whom we collaborate. PREP Preparing Researchers for Engaging the Public (PREP) (est. 2015) offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to share their research with community audiences of all ages through curriculum design, mentorships, internships, and leadership roles in community-based research opportunities. Board Membership SASSAk12 has an active volunteer board that meets several times per month and is focused on developing infrastructure and our new post-COVID strategic plan. If you have professional experience in education at the K-12 or district level, or financial or legal experience, consider joining the SASSAk12 community as a Board member. Volunteer Perhaps you want to volunteer but aren't ready to serve on the board. We have volunteers who share their skills in writing, social media, and more who make a meaningful impact in our organization and in the communities we serve. Consider volunteering.
